Where does the name Bennu come from?
Bennu Bloom Healing takes its name from the ancient Egyptian word Bennu, which means "to rise" or "to shine."

Rooted in the myth of the Bennu Bird—a sacred symbol of rebirth, resurrection, and renewal—this name reflects our belief in the power of transformation. Closely linked with the sun and creation, the Bennu Bird was said to bring light and life to the world. It’s even thought to have inspired the myth of the Phoenix, the legendary bird that rises anew from its own ashes, just as the sun rises each day.

The Bennu was often depicted as a heron, a bird found in wetlands and marshes—places of transition and quiet growth. Like the heron, we, too, can emerge from stillness into strength.

At Bennu Bloom Healing, we carry this message at the heart of our work:
That within each of us lies the innate capacity to heal, to renew, and to rise.
